Warm Up is 0.75 of a mile - nice and steady from meeting location at The Icon, to the start and finish of the hill loop route, at the point where St Andrews Drive meets Sunningdale Drive.

Main Session:

The main session is a hill lap route of approximately 0.85 miles, and just over 100ft of climbing. Most of this climbing (over 80ft) is in the first 400m (0.25 miles of the lap) - so the route could be described as a sharp up hill, with a more gradual descent. The aim of this session is to complete as many laps as you can/want to in 35 minutes. Unlike other hills sessions, this means that you are not necessarily attacking or powering up the hill and recovering on the down hill, but instead picking an economical pace/effort for the whole lap. For some this may mean walking the up hills and jogging the downhills.

At the 35 minute mark. I will start to stop participants from setting out on another lap, however if you start a lap at 34 minutes and 59 seconds (or prior), you will be able to continue and finish that lap.

Lights are a must with this session as parts of the lap are poorly lit, so you will need a torch of some description (head, chest, or hand held) to see the way, and any hazards ahead.

Once all participants have completed their laps, the Cool Down will be a reverse of the 0.75 warm up.
