Saturday 19th July - Banbury parkrun
Come and join us at Spiceball Park in Banbury, only about 30 minutes away from Daventry, for your weekly parkrun fix. Be encouraged on and cheered home by fellow members of the club at a local 5k run event, with optional social/food afterwards.
Course Description: Banbury parkrun is a fairly flat, multi-terrain course, consisting of one shorter lap followed by two longer laps that add a loop on grass/track. The course can get wet and muddy in places, and has a few narrow sections and small bridges to navigate.
Getting There (From Daventry): If using SAT NAV the nearest post code is OX16 3JJ. Take the third exit on the roundabout over the M40, towards Banbury. At the next roundabout go straight across (2nd exit) continuing on the A422. At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit and then turn left onto Grimsbury Green. Follow the road for 100 yards and the car park is on your left.
Parking: There are two car parks attached to the park, one is a large pay and display and the other is free but has limited parking. There are also numerous pay and display/multi storey car parks within walking distance of the park.
Toilets: The closest toilets are 5 minutes walk from the start line in the local leisure centre.
Extra Information: If you have a club shirt please wear this, and we will do a group photo at 8.45am, near the start line.
As normal we will cheer all club members home, and if your still energetic after your run, it would be nice to run back and support others.
Food After: Post parkrun, we will be heading to Pinto Lounge (part of the “Lounge” chain) for breakfast. It is only 3 minutes walk from the car park, so no need to move cars. Please indicate in your booking if you will be joining us.
